As a photographer the medium, the camera and the subject are all just as important as each other, working across digital, film and alternative processes, I choose the appropriate method to match the subject combining these with research into local history and maps.
My passions to photograph include edgelands, unloved and abandoned places, cityscapes, landscapes and aviation.
I find myself looking for the unloved objects and locations and telling their story, recording their history before it is lost, covering both local and wider subjects. One key subject is is exploring my local area. Based within a space at the end of the town and before the next one starts; it encompasses both natural and man-made aspects and acts as a key pathway running alongside the canal and as part of the Trans Pennine trail, initially scoped out my stomping ground based on an Ordnance Survey map of the area in 1913.
I am based in Cheshire in the UK, graduating July 2022 and would be happy to discuss all things photography. I am open to competitions, commissions. sales and residencies.
